Beginning February 9, Wicker Park's newest neighborhood gem, Azzurra (1467 N. Milwaukee Ave), is excited to debut Sunday Supper to diners craving a traditional, family-style feast on Sunday night. The restaurant invites families and friends to gather around the cozy dining room to share a four-course dinner of regional homemade Italian cuisine. Each month, Azzurra will spotlight dishes from different regions in Italy, beginning with traditional Tuscan fare in February, followed by Sicily in March and Lazio (Rome) in April. February's mouth-watering family-style menu includes:
Antipasti Misti
Assortment of sliced local soppressata, buffalo mozzarella and assorted crostini
Pasta
Choice of Homemade Cavatelli, country tomato, basil pesto and parmigiano or
Homemade Orecchiette, Italian sausage, rapini, garlic and pecorino
Entree
Choice of Polpettone, beef and pork loaf, filled with prosciutto, carrots and spinach with parmigiano potatoes and Swiss chard gratin or
Polenta Crusted Whitefish with crispy potatoes and Swiss chard gratin
House selected desserts
Reservations can be made online or by calling the restaurant at (773) 278-5959. All dishes will be served family-style and participation of the entire table is required. Available for dine-in only.
