I have spoken with a number of people that described their version of monkey bread, and each version seems to have slight variations. I am about to share with you my mom's monkey bread recipe, which I believe creates the best sticky breakfast roll that will ever touch your lips!

My mom prepared these delicious, gooey breakfast buns for many Thanksgiving and Christmas mornings. Each time I take a bite of this sweet bread and close my eyes, I swear I hear the Macy's Day Parade on TV. I can visualize my brothers actually making it down to breakfast, which rarely happened during their teenage years. This is a great go-to recipe for holidays or when you are hosting guests as the prep time is minimal and the rewards are exponential.

The night before, grease a bundt pan with cooking spray and place the 18 frozen dinner rolls in the pan. (If you do not have a bundt pan, you can easily use two smaller bread pans. Place 9 rolls in each pan. Simply divide the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon mixture described in the steps below between the two pans.)

Sprinkle the butterscotch pudding powder evenly over the rolls.

Place 1/4 cup of butter in a microwaveable bowl, and microwave until the butter melts. Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon; stir until combined.

Pour the warm mixture over the rolls. Leave the rolls overnight in a cold oven.

The next morning, the rolls will have risen. Take the rolls out of the oven while preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Bake the rolls for 20 - 25 minutes -- or until the rolls are nicely browned on top and are not doughy in the middle.

Loosen the rolls around the edge of the bundt pan with a butter knife being careful not to scrape the pan. Place a plate overtop of the rolls and invert the rolls onto the plate.

Get ready to taste the best ooey, gooey goodness of your life! It is highly recommended to have a glass of milk on hand.
